GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 RUMOUR DETAILS AND RELEASE DATE

James Gunn's eagerly awaited Guardians third movie gets some rumoured details as well as a potential release date. Gunn will begin production of Guardians' third film after 'The Suicide Squad' has finished post-production and press tours. Gunn's Suicide Squad film will release on August 6, 2021.

Rumour has it Rockets creator will be the High Evolutionary, as well as Rocket getting a love interest that Vol. 1 teased - Lylla. Drax will find out his daughter Moondragon is, actually, still alive. As well as Nebula and Quill will become closer friends throughout the film.

As for the release date, with the official release date of 'The Suicide Squad,' we can figure out Guardians Vol. 3 release date. Marvel Studio usually are concise when filming with four months of production and six months of post-production (ten months).

Disney has also released its film schedule with only 4 Marvel release dates after The Suicide Squad's release - November 5, 2021; February 18, 2022; May 6, 2022; July 22, 2022.

With Marvel Studios' usual ten months to complete a film, production could start as early as September, which would bring it to June - one month shy of the May release date, so it most likely would be the July release date.

Gunn will likely spend this time tweaking the script or setting up pre-production to start filming In October for the July 22, 2022 release date.

After all the information presented from D-23 - all the new reveals put my guesswork to shame quite quickly. I previously guessed Gunn could start work on Guardians Vol. 3 around October ahead of a July 22, 2022 release date - but Captain Marvel 2 ended up taking that spot.

On Gunn's Instagram and Twitter, he has talked about script revisions for Guardians Vol. 3 during the quarantine period, as well as calling out false rumours about the films "confirmed" start dates, as many have tried claiming.

I'm just adding to the number of unconfirmed start dates - but at least I always admit to guessing!

Another rumour recently broke that Marvel Studios has eight new release dates which would be Phase Five - February 18, 2022; May 6, 2022; July 29, 2022; October 7, 2022; February 17, 2023; May 5, 2023; July 28, 2023; and November 3, 2023. So, pick one and hope!
